Zutano avocado is a heavy bearer of flavorful, smooth skinned green fruit. The Zutano is self fertile, performing well in both coastal and inland climates. You will enjoy your avocados December to January from a cold hardy tree, taking temps down to 26°’s. Be sure to plant your avocado tree in soil that is loose, rich and well draining. Keep soil moist, but never soggy. Protect tree from constant winds. For those in extreme summer climates, white water based latex paint applied to the trunk will minimize sun scald. We ship all of our avocado trees shipped potted in soil to ensure a healthier start when planted in yard or garden.
