A "super one" gallon, triple staked about 15 inches tall
Zinfandel is a heat loving wine grape that has thrived in California for over a century. This grape variety is popular for its intense fruitiness and lush texture. The berries from zinfandel grape are thin skinned, purple to black in color with the grapes growing in large, tight clusters on short stems. The fruit ripens fairly early and produces juice with high sugar levels. Zinfandel vines are quite vigorous and grow best in climates that are warm but not too hot. If weather conditions permit, the grapes may be late harvested to make dessert wine. Your new grape prefers hot sun, medium water and good drainage. Hardy to USDA zone 7, and will be a stunning addition in any Mediterranean garden style. Reaches 15 to 25 ft long if allowed or clip to desired size. Shipped potted in soil for best possible results when planted in yard or garden.
