Yosemite Gold is a great mandarin to add you your home orchard to extend harvest, as its fruit ripens mid January to mid February-after the Christmas ripening of Dancy, Satsuma, and Clementine mandarins. Fruit is large with attractive deep orange rind color and has rich flavor with practically no seeds. Your fruit will be moderately juicy. Tree shape eventually ends up looking more like an orange than a mandarin, with large sized leaves. Large leaves help protect ripening fruit from sunburn, as fruit exposed to excessive sunlight can loose significant color on the exposed surface. Lots of fruit usually sets on the interior of the tree. Shipped potted in soil to ensure the best possible start when planted in yard or garden.
