Xylosma is a versatile hedge or screening plants displaying bronzy young foliage on spreading, gracefully arching branches. Xylosma can be gently pruned to size, and it will adapt to mild shearing for a more formal appearance. This easy care plant is excellent for breaking up long fence lines or for de-emphasizing large mulitstory walls in foundation plantings. The Xylosma compactum is hardy to USDA zone 8 and all higher zones, enjoying full to partial sun. Growth is to about 6 to 8 feet or clipped smaller if desired. Shipped as a potted five gallon plant to get you off to a fast, high quality start.
