Developed by the University of California’s walnut breeding program, Tulare's contribution to customer satisfaction is its large sized nuts that are almost round and well sealed. Kernels on this walnut are of high quality, harvested midseason with production heavy. Flavor is described as "more natural walnut flavor than Chandler." Walnut trees also make great shade trees, stretching their branches tall and wide. It blooms late, an advantage in frosty areas, but still matures its nuts mid season. Your Tulare Walnut will be shipped potted in soil for best results when planted in yard or garden.
