Timeless Beauty Desert Willow may be a plant not too many have heard of, but one that offers so much to the landscape. Looking for hummingbirds? The Desert Willow is your tree. Looking for lots of fragrant, lavender colored flowers? Again, the desert willow will not fail to satisfy, its show of color beginning in the spring. Also called Chilopsis, this cold hardy (to USDA zone 7 and higher) but heat tolerant small tree is easy care, and once established, needs only occasional watering. Growth rate is moderate with overall height about 15 to 20 feet, but could easily be clipped shorter. Consider the Chilopsis in container on hot deck or patio, in borders or used in fire wise landscaping. Shipped as a potted specimen to ensure the best possible start when planted in yard or garden.
