Camellia "Spellbound", sometimes known as Camellia 'Marie Bracey' is a slow growing evergreen with pink flowers up to 5 inches wide, rounded with overlapping petals. Though this camellia variety can get quite tall over the years, clip regularly to maintain topiary size and shape. Camellias do well in large containers on a porch or shady patio. Use this taller version in the center of a large planter, adding seasonal bedding flowers for double effect. This 'tree' version of camellia would be quite striking used as a background plant against a shady fence, accented with other shade loving ground covers for a nice effect. Camellias need loose, rich, acidic, well drained soil. Mulch roots with an organic potting medium to keep roots cool. If your soil is questionable, use in containers for best results. Evergreen. You will enjoy blossoms on your "Spellbound" camellia late winter to early spring. Shipped as a potted five gallon plant in its original soil and container to ensure the best possible results when planted in yard or garden. Hardy to USDA zone 7-8 and all higher zones.
