Fruit from this berry variety is large in size, hitting your fruit bowl mid July, with its tangy sweet berries the perfect addition to a bowl of cold cereal or a dessert itself....in a bowl and top with half-and-half and who needs anything else? From the Spartan Blueberry, enjoyment will continue with its foliage becoming orange/yellow in the fall, always a pretty sight as you walk out for the morning newspaper each day. A hardiness rating to USDA zone 5 and higher means not a lot of fuss over the plant in the winter. Plant in loose, rich soil and keep consistently moist, not soggy or dry. Growth on your new blueberry up to 5 to 6 feet tall or clip to shape. Deciduous. Shipped potted in soil for best possible results when planted in yard or garden.
