Pittosporum tenuifolium ‘Silver Sheen’ is an evergreen shrub or small tree to about 15 feet tall or clipped to any desired size and shape. Consider this variety of pittosporum for its silvery green leaves that provides a nice change to an all green landscape. The foliage looks exceptionally striking against the black stems, which is another point of interest and color source for this easy care plant. The over all effect initially is sparse, but becomes very dense in time, making it a very good choice for screens or tall hedges. The foliage is highly reflective and quite impressive when lit from an angle. The silver sheen occasionally flowers, and when it does, it gives off a sweet fragrance at night. Hardy to about USDA 8. Shipped as a well established five gallon plant potted in soil to ensure the best possible start when planted in yard or garden.
