This version of the Mexican or Key Lime is grafted onto semi dwarf rootstock, lending itself quite easily to container use. This is the bartender's lime. Mature fruit is small, green to yellow-green ripening in July to December. Key lime trees do fine in containers indoors where they can be kept warm in the winter, and then returning to sunny deck or patio for the season. Moderate growing to about 8 feet tall or easily clipped shorter. Juice is great for baking, with its greatest claim to fame being Key Lime Pie. Can not ship citrus trees to AZ, FL, or TX. Tree shipped as a potted five gallon specimen in its original soil and container.
