Japanese maple 'Seiryu' is selected for its upright, vase shaped form displaying finely dissected rich green foliage. This Acer variety is an excellent accent, and a wonderful focal point for the patio area. The foliage on the seiryu maple does provide some seasonal color change in the fall. This shade loving tree is slow growing to about 10 to 12 feet, so it could easily be maintained to any desired size and shape. The Seiryu maple is a great focal point in the shade garden, in a container on covered porch, patio, or entryway, and invaluable in the Asian or Japanese garden. The smaller stature of this maple is excellent for foundation beds because they won't crowd windows. Shipped as a potted 3 gallon specimen to ensure the best possible start when planted in yard or garden. Hardy to USDA zone 5 and all higher zones.
