Bougainvillea "San Diego Red" is a vigorous flowering vine to 20 feet long or clip to shape. The plant is stunning when in bloom. Enjoy an amazing show of red sprawling over a trellis, climbing along a fence, hanging over an arbor, or just about anywhere you desire color spring through frost. Bougainvillea vines do best in lots of full hot sun. The color is so amazing, that your San Diego Red bougy is a worthwhile consideration for use as a summer annual in colder climates. Plant in containers, hanging baskets, or let drape down a slope or over a rock wall. Shipped potted in soil to ensure the best possible start when planted in yard or garden. Be sure to keep the root ball completely intact when you plant your new vine. Hardy to USDA zone 10 and all higher zones.
