Rosemary "Huntington Carpet" has lots of deep blue flowers that are backed by fragrant foliage, an attractive spreading ground cover the result. Rosemary is fast growing to 1 to 2 feet tall by about 6-8 feet wide if not clipped. Pair the rosemary with sun loving Mediterranean plants or other herbal cooking varieties like Lavender, Sage, or Thyme. Some other ornamentals that will compliment this Mediterranean setting include Rockrose, Tree Mallow and Cranesbill. All rosemary varieties make excellent ground covers for sunny banks or along paths, and all are fine additions to containers where the foliage can spill over pot edges. Hardy to USDA zone 8 and all higher zones, and is shipped potted in soil to ensure the best possible start when planted in yard or garden.
They are incredibly durable, so a very good consideration for along the beach where growing conditions can be tough. Use rosemary to attract butterflies or birds. Pretty good for erosion control too.
