What has always drawn me to this plant is its late summer color. You'll be looking at very beautiful lavender blue flowers August and September, a time of year when not many plants are looking so radiant, the spring bloomers having already ended their show of color and the fall foliage having not quite started yet. Leucophyllum take lots and lots of heat and sun, so consider for along roadways, up driveways or massed planted anywhere in bright sunny planter beds. Use individually as an accent or just because it looks good and you like it. The "Texas Ranger" is evergreen, hardy to USDA zone 8 and higher, growing to about 5 feet tall and wide or clip to any desired size or shape. Consider the Rio Bravo Texas Ranger in water wise plantings to add a pop of color. Shipped potted in soil for best possible results when planted in yard or garden.
