Raspberry Dazzle Crape Myrtle Plant, One Gallon Container
You will first notice the unique foliage on the Raspberry Dazzle crape myrtle, very different than other Lagerstroemia varieties. The show does not stop here. Your crape myrtle plant will then begin the second feature, loading up with masses of raspberry red flowers in the summer time. Your newest addition to your yard will be dense with an upright habit and disease resistant foliage, allowing you more time to enjoy the beauty of the plant instead of worrying about disease control. Use the raspberry dazzle in mass plantings or in shrub borders. Effective on large sunny decks or patios. The Raspberry Dazzle is slow growing to about 4 to 6 feet tall and 2 to 3 feet wide or easily clipped to shape. Hardy to USDA zone 6 and all higher zones, and shipped potted in soil to ensure a healthier start when planted in yard or garden.

Why use this Crape Myrtle, what makes it different?
The older crape myrtle varieties used in the landscape back in the '80's and 90's typically grew tall and required much maintenance, lots of clipping and spraying for mildew. The Raspberry Dazzle with its shorter growth and denser habit can be tucked into large shrub beds and mixed with other flowering perennials for added effect.
Monrovia growers has it listed as growing to only 4 to 6 feet tall or clip to shape, so even a possibility to mass plant around the ‘feet’ of large trees or garden statuary as long as the sun remains strong and bright.
