Solanum Royal Robe, also known as the "Potato Plant" will be a very free blooming addition to your yard, displaying masses of large, fragrant, rich blue-violet flowers with yellow centers over long season. The potato plant is very showy, and would be a good choice in the mixed border, or as the center shrub surrounded by mixed herbaceous perennials or edging plants. This deer resistant plant is fast growing to 6 to 8 feet tall, but don't be afraid to clip, as it has a tendency to spread. Hardy to USDA zone 9 and all higher zones, but flowers so easily, it is still a worthwhile choice in extreme winter areas as a colorful annual. Your potato bush will be shipped potted in soil to give you the absolute best start possible.
