This Wonderful Pomegranate selection grown by Monrovia Nursery is our best pomegranate offering, giving an instant effect in the yard. Enjoy its emerald green leaves, orange flowers, and red ripening fruit from a plant with a nice head start, currently about four feet tall as measured from the soil. Pomegranate trees need sun for best flowers and fruit production, and are drought tolerant once established. Pomegranates are one of the few plants that do o.k. in alkaline soil, yet happy in rich garden soil too. Grow as a container plant on sunny patio or deck if space is at a premium. Sharp flavored fruit extra large in size with flesh that is rich, red in color, juicy. Clip to maintain topiary shape. Hardy to USDA zone 7 and all higher zones, yet only needs about 150 hours chilling. Shipped potted in soil to ensure the best possible start when planted in yard or garden.
