Pluot is a unique new fruit derived from apricots and plums. Medium to large sized fruit with dark reddish purple skin, crimson flesh, very nearly freestone. Highly aromatic, very sweet, with an intense, exotic, fruity flavor. Month long harvest season. Keeps several weeks in refrigerator. Highly recommended for home orchards. Vigorous tree, moderately upright growth habit. Estimated chilling requirement 400 to 500 hours. Pollenizer required, such as Santa Rosa plum. Shipped as a potted five gallon tree in its original soil and container.
