Gaura is tough, one of those plants you have a tendency to forget about; it just does its thing time and again with minimal effort, producing airy masses of deep pink flowers late spring through fall. The blossoms on ‘pink cloud’ gaura practically smother the red-tinged foliage, with the improved variety bearing a sturdy upright habit. Use this plant for late color in perennial borders or spot into mixed beds or cottage garden compositions. Try gaura around trees or between other evergreen conifers for some color and textural contrast. Tolerates drought, heat & humidity, and is exceptional in containers. Herbaceous perennial. Full sun. Moderate growth to 2 or 3 feet tall and as wide. Hardy to USDA zone 6 and all higher zones. Shipped as a potted two gallon plant in its original soil and container.
