This Petite Plum Crape Myrtle, also known as Lagerstroemia, offers lots of possibilities in the landscape. Crape myrtles are invaluable in providing continuous color all summer long in those difficult, hot sunny areas. This crape myrtle variety will be a well established plant when shipped about two feet tall, ready to plant in a large container on sunny deck or patio. Add seasonal annuals for added color. The petite plum crape myrtle only grows to about 5 feet tall, so clipping and maintenance will be minimal. Crape myrtles also treat the homeowner to excellent fall leaf color, as well as interesting bark formations in the winter. All lagerstroemias are hardy USDA zone 7 and are deciduous. Water consistently, especially when in bloom. Shipped as a potted five gallon plant in its original soil and container to ensure a healthier start when planted in yard or garden.
