Our best Key Lime tree that we offer. This citrus variety, also known as Mexican lime, is grown by Monrovia Nursery of California. This tree has been carefully nurtured and grown with lots of TLC, producing a well shaped, well sized specimen. The soil mix has been scientifically formulated to entice lots of high quality new root growth once planted at your home, whether in a container or outdoors in your garden, then leading to lots of new leaves and shoots next spring, giving you a nice head start on your own crop of freshly grown key limes. This is also called the bartender's lime. Mature fruit is small, green to yellow-green ripening in July to December. Key lime trees do fine in containers indoors where they can be kept warm in the winter, and then returning to sunny deck or patio for the season. Moderate growing to about 8-12 feet tall or easily clipped shorter. Juice is great for baking, with its greatest claim to fame being Key Lime Pie. Can not ship citrus trees to AZ, FL, or TX. Tree shipped as a potted five gallon specimen

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you really ship citrus trees this time of the year?
Since we ship all of our trees potted in soil with established root systems, yes, it is something we can offer. We ship trees up to four feet tall.

How are the trees prepared to make such a journey in the winter?
We insulate the trees prior to shipping if necessary, and then carefully box them, adding additional protective measures to absorb excessive vibration or movement while in transit. The root balls are then bagged to hold in moisture while the trees are on their way, with an additional card board collar placed over the tree to provide additional protection from the elements. Some leaf drop may occur, but the tree, once moved to a proper and safe location should re-foliate very quickly.
