This variety of Osmanthus, also known as Goshiki False Holly, is a new selection with new growth tinged with pink and orange maturing to creamy-yellow over the dark green leaves. The Japanese name refers to the five foliage colors. The Goshiki False holly makes a great accent, thriving in full to partial sun to 4 to 8 feet tall or clip to shape. Evergreen. This species of Osmanthus looks a lot like English Holly, so it can be used as a low prickly hedge or add to foundation planting under windows, where the floral perfume can waft in. Try as a unique mid-height accent in shrub borders. Far wider than it is tall, so group to cover large bare areas of the garden. Shipped as a potted specimen in its original soil and container.
