Acer palmatum “Oshio Beni” has graceful arching branches displaying deeply lobed, finely serrated brilliant red-orange leaves that become scarlet in the fall. Japanese maple Oshio beni can be used to provide an artistic lacy effect that contrasts well with green leafed plants. The Oshio Beni is deciduous, preferring partial sun, enduring more sun as the plant ages and roots go deeper. Moderate growing to 12 feet tall or clip to shape. Any Japanese maple would be a grand addition to a woodland or Zen garden. Enjoy year round interest and dramatic fall color from your maple. Prefers loose, rich soil and consistent moisture.
