The O'Neil Horsechestnut tree is a beautiful, round-headed tree perfectly suited for use in smaller yards. This flowering tree produces long, dense clusters of single bright-red flowers that are very attractive and favored by hummingbirds. The O'Neil horsechestnut tree is deciduous, and does well in full sun. This horsechestnut variety is a slow grower to about 30 feet tall or clip to shape. The tree also attracts butterflies as an added benefit, giving you much to observe and enjoy with this tree. Follow a regular watering schedule during the first growing season to establish a deep, extensive root system. Watering can be reduced after establishment. Hardy to USDA zone 5 and all higher zones.
