This ornamental is excellent for containers or for use in the garden, and is also an effective bonsai. The dwarf punica is deciduous, blooming in the summer. The dwarf flowering pomegranate is a moderate grower to about 3 ft. tall and wide or clip to shape, and is one of the best plants for very hot sunny areas. Hardy to USDA zone 7 and all higher zones. The fruit can be used in dry floral arranging. This small shrub is just the right size to tuck into a full sun planting scheme. Attractive in flower and fruit, it will add good contrast to the border. Grows well in containers. Shipped potted in soil to ensure a healthier start when planted in yard or garden.
