Plant an Okame Flowering Cherry tree and you will be giving directions to your house this way....turn at the corner and drive till you see that tree covered in pretty pink blossoms, you won't miss it! The Okame will do really well for you with three seasons of some sort of visual interest. Pink flowers in the spring and leaves that are a pleasant green and nicely textured, so a tree easy to live with even in the heat of the summer. When autumn approaches, the foliage begins a second show of color picking up hues of yellow-orange that slowly changes to an orange red. The flowers come early on this flowering cherry and stick around a while. Another cool thing about this tree is that it does well in mild winters yet hardy to USDA zone 5 and higher, growing to about 20 feet tall and wide or clip to shape. Shipped as a potted specimen to assure the best quality when planted in yard or garden.
