Camellia japonica Nuccios Bella Rosa produces an abundance of formal, 4 inch crimson red blooms that open slowly over a long period, early to late spring. Even young plants show an extra heavy bud set. The nuccios bella rosa is a moderate grower to 6 to 8 feet tall and wide or easily clip to desired size and shape. Can become taller in time. The brilliant red colored blossoms of this camellia plant pair well with other garden classics such as boxwood or juniper topiaries, as well as fragrant gardenias. Pair the Nuccio’s Bella Rosa with heavenly bamboo, Japanese maple, ferns or dogwood. Needs filtered sun. Hardy to USDA zone 8 and all higher zones.
