Myrtus, or true myrtle is a popular, compact tightly branched evergreen shrub with creamy-white flowers has fragrant foliage when crushed. Extremely useful and dependable as a low hedge and foundation planting. Blooms summer. Slow grower to 2 to 3 ft. tall and wide or clip to shape. Full sun to light shade. Hardy to about 20°'s. Very easy to clip, so a popular choice for bonsai or to be shaped into animal figures. Shipped as a potted one gallon plant in its original soil and container.

Where is a good place to use a true myrtle plant in my yard?
Compact myrtle only grow to about 4 to 5 feet tall anyway, so it is an excellent choice as a foundation plant, that is one used to soften the transition where house meets the ground. Use also to cover supports for a raised deck or patio. Clip to ANY shape!
