Mugo pine will give you a bit of the forest without taking up much room....only growing to about 3 to 4 feet tall and a bit wider, so a great plant to tuck into rock gardens, in containers or incorporated into a mass planting of blooming perennials. The Mugo pine is hardy to USDA zone 2 and higher, yet can take a bit of heat if mulched and placed not too close to reflected heat from asphalt or concrete driveways. Wonderful near lawns where the sprinkler overspray keeps it 'happy'. Average soil and water. The Mugo is easy care, attracting birds and is deer resistant. Give one a try. Shipped potted in its original soil and container for best results when planted in yard or garden.
