Your Pieris "Mountain Fire" is a cold hardy evergreen with beautiful fiery red new growth maturing to a pleasant deep green. It is an excellent choice for the partially shaded woodland garden, and also a great solution for the damp, acidic soil conditions in the Pacific Northwest. The Pieris Mountain Fire's bright foliage color and charming flowers makes it a suitable accent plant for condo and town-house patios, city gardens and courtyards. It can eventually reach 6 to 10 feet tall, but slow enough where you can prune and manage its size and growth rate to your desires. You will see tiny white flowers on the Pieris in the spring. Shipped potted in soil to ensure a healthier start when planted in yard or garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 5 and all higher zones.
