Montmorency cherry is the most popular pie and dessert cherry in North America. Fruit is large with bright red skin and firm yellow flesh. This cherry variety is very cold hardy and disease resistant. The Montmorency is a heavy producer. A sour cherry excellent for canning and pies. Self fertile. A good pollinizer. Ripens late season. Shipped potted in soil to ensure a healthier start in your orchard or yard. Trees are about four feet tall upon shipping. 900 hours chilling.

I like to garden and have a few fruit bearing trees that keep me busy, with Montmorency cherry one of my favorites, but I live in a really cold area. Any suggestions on other fruit trees that would do decently in severe weather?
Give either the Tydeman's Late Orange Apple or the Hudson's Golden Gem apple a try. Both are very cold hardy varieties (800 to 1000 chill hours) that are richly flavored.
