Maiden grass, or Miscanthus gracillimus is an ornamental grass noted for its fine textured silver green blades that turn golden bronze after the first frost. Enjoy delicate silvery white plumes dancing in the wind late summer into the autumn. The maiden grass is great as a specimen plant, though quite effective planted in groups. Ornamental grasses are ideal for wild gardens and dry streambeds, where they blend nicely with the soft hues of warm-colored stone. This variety of miscanthus is a moderate grower to about 6 to 8 feet tall. Plant in full sun, hardy to USDA zone 5 and all higher zones. Deer resistant. Shipped as a very well established one gallon plant in its original soil and container.
