The Mexicola Grande is a consistent bearer of dark colored fruit with outstanding flavor. Rich buttery taste. Thin, tender skin. Larger fruit with smaller pit than regular Mexicola. Ripens August to October. It is one of the most cold hardy varieties, hardy to the mid 20°'s. Prefers well draining soil. Plant in a container if you need to be able to move under cover during extreme winters. Shipped potted in soil to ensure the best possible start when planted in yard or garden. Box size nearly five feet tall.
