Leather leaf fern has fronds that are deep glossy green that are finely cut to about 2-3 feet. The fronds are used frequently in the floral trade, finding a place in floral bouquets and rose vase arrangements. This low growing fern variety prefers full sun in moderate climates, and afternoon shade in warmer areas. Keep consistently watered. Leather fern is a great choice against a shady wall, or to soften the hard edges of any shade garden hardscape, such as boulders, concrete edges or pathways. Great for containers on shady entryway. Hardy to the mid 20°'s. Evergreen. Shipped potted in soil to ensure the best possible start when planted in yard or garden.
