Lavender Lantana, One Gallon Container Size
Lavender lantana is a popular ground cover prized for its masses of beautiful lavender flowers that appear almost year-round. Very useful in containers and hanging baskets. Lantana is an excellent summer annual for cold climate areas liking full sun. Fast grower to 8 to 12 inches tall, 3 to 6 feet wide. Choose lavender lantana as an excellent choice for erosion control on hillsides. Low and wide, trailing Lantana covers the ground quickly and in a blaze of color. Lavender flowers are perfect for dangling off the edges of pots and hanging baskets. Excellent choice for hot zones along streets and driveways, on sun-drenched slopes and embankments that need quick color. Great for covering curbs and retaining walls. Why would I choose lantana for a ground cover?
Because it spreads quickly and blooms for a long time. Each plant will reach about 4-5 feet across, and bloom non stop from late spring till first frost in the autumn. Color is so profuse that it could be enjoyed as a seasonal annual for those in extreme winter areas , a perennial for those in warmer winter locations.
