The Jubilee blueberry will treat you to very sweet fruit maturing midsummer through fall, setting a good crop of fruit even in milder climates that experience only 500 hours of chilling. This blueberry plant is an attractive shrub with blue-green foliage, a classy addition for beds or the fruit garden. It remains evergreen in mild winters or turns brilliant red before shedding leaves in cold climates. The bell shaped flowers that precede the fruit an added benefit. The Jubilee blueberry is a semi-deciduous shrub enjoying full sun. Vigorous growth 4 to 5 feet tall and wide. Provide an acidic, well-drained soil. Water regularly during the growing season to maintain a deep, extensive root system. Before new growth begins, prune off twiggy growth, leaving only main stems to prevent overbearing; feed with an acidic fertilizer. Shipped potted in soil to ensure the best possible start when planted in yard or garden.
