A new Japanese maple selection displaying a dwarf, compact form. Bright red new foliage matures to deep maroon-red. Freely branching growth becomes dense with maturity. Slow growing to 6 to 8 ft tall or clip to shape. Deciduous. Prefers filtered sun, especially in extreme summer areas. Hardy to -20 to -10°F. Its slow growth and smaller size make it a great choice for containers or small, shady entryways. Shipped as a potted one gallon plant in its original soil and container.
