Hardenbergia, or "Wandering Lilac Vine" is a fast growing vine or mounding shrub to 3-4’ tall, 10’ wide or clip to shape. Enjoy masses of violet purple flowers that cover the plant from late October through February or March. The lilac vine like sun to part shade. Can be slow to establish in some very dry situations, but is usually fast once its roots are down. In eastern Australia where it is native, it is often encountered growing naturally as a compact, sprawling ground cover on bare road cuts. Hardenbergia is a good choice for smaller areas where a massive vine would be too much. Evergreen in mild climates. Shipped potted in soil for best possible results when planted in yard or garden.
