Granada pomegranate fruit is large in size, resembling Wonderful pomegranate in taste and flavor but less tart, darker in color. Ripens one month earlier than Wonderful. The blossoms that precede the fruit are deeper red in color. Consider any pomegranate tree as a useful landscape specimen as well, as they are very tough and durable taking lots of sun and heat. Granada, as do all pomegranate varieties are quite tolerant of alkaline soil conditions. Weather really doesn't throw this fruit bearing plant off its stride either, as it is hardy to USDA zone 7 and higher, yet only needs 150 to 200 hours chilling. Granada pomegranates are high in antioxidants. Your tree will ship in its original soil and container for best possible results when planted in yard or garden.
