Jasmine Grand Duke, also known as Arabian Jasmine makes flowers that are very aromatic, creating a perfume like fragrance noticeable whenever you get close to your jasmine plant. The button like double flowers are used in Hawaii in making special leis. The Jasmine Grand Duke is a compactly branched evergreen shrub holding vine like stems with oval bright green leaves. Best in some shade in extreme summer areas, but can take more sun if summers are more moderate. This jasmine variety is slow growing to about four feet. Frost tender, so you may want to consider using in a container on porch or patio where the aroma can be enjoyed as you approach your house. Excellent in small courtyards and city gardens. Train over windows and doorways, and up onto overhead shade structures. Drape this Jasmine over walls or let it cascade in waves off raised planters. With your help, it will climb wood or chain-link fences to shroud them in foliage and flowers. Shipped as a potted specimen to ensure the best possible start when planted in yard or garden.
