The Golden Prolific nectarine is large with yellow skin with yellow flesh mottle with orange red. The golden prolific has flavor that is rich and sweet, easily among the tastiest of nectarines. This genetic dwarf nectarine variety is freestone, produced from a tree only reaching 5 feet tall if not topped. The golden prolific produces heavily, ripening mid to late August. We ship all of our fruit trees potted in soil to ensure a healthier start when planted in yard or garden. Needs 900 chilling hours, so it is a good choice for those in extreme winter areas. Enjoy pretty pink blossoms in the spring as well.
