Georgia Petite Indian Hawthorn is a new and improved version of an old favorite, the Rhaphiolepis, that shrub that just gets it done, a plant you drop into your garden with hardly any input on your part from that day forward, just enjoy. The disease resistance on the Georgia Petite is strong so minimal worries here. It stays nice and dense and not very tall, so a great plant for tucking into nooks and crannies of the front yard landscape, those areas that just need something to look finished. This plant blooms a profusion of white flowers in the spring with dark blue berries to follow, but with the dense growth habit of this plants, berries will have a tendency to fall right through the plant thus minimizing mess while still attracting birds. The Georgia Petite takes lots of full hot sun yet hardy to USDA zone 7 and all higher zones. Growth to 2 to 2.5 feet tall by about 3 feet wide. Shipped potted in soil for best results when planted in yard or garden.
