The Manzanilla olive is one tree you may see planted around the Spanish missions in California. Medium sized deep purple fruit. Late ripening. Good for table olives and oil. A cold hardy variety; vigorous. Bears heavily. Give the trees full sun. Hardy to around 15°s, so have some protection ready if you live in an extreme winter area. Train and clip the tree to desired height and shape. Considered drought resistant once established. While indoors supliment humidity by spritzing the foilage with moisture. Feed as needed. Shipped as a potted one gallon tree in its original soil and container. Olives are invaluable as tough landscape specimens, often used in containers in Mediterranean style landscapes.
