Forsythia 'Spring Glory' is one of the first flowering shrubs to bloom each spring. Plant this tough, blooming shrub as a single specimen in an out-of-the-way place where it can spread and bloom into a golden mass of beautiful yellow color. Growth to 6 to 8 feet tall if not clipped, so the Forsythia can be used as a screen, hedge, or bank cover. One of the best times to clip is when this cold hardy plant is in full bloom, taking the flowering branches indoors to use in vase arrangements with other cut flowers. Although Forsythia may be sheared or heavily pruned, doing so decreases its drama. Plant the 'spring glory' in full sun. Deciduous and deer resistant. Hardy to USDA zone 3 and all higher zones. Shipped potted in soil to ensure the best possible start when planted in yard or garden. A plant that will truly be enjoyed.
