Magnolia "Randy" is a beautiful deciduous shrub displaying star-shaped blooms, with interiors that are pinkish-white with purple exteriors. Flowers later and longer than other Star Magnolias. This magnolia variety displays a lovely open-branched narrow habit. Full sun. Slow-growing to 10 to 15 feet high, 12 feet wide or clip to shape. This blooming magnolia is perfect size for foundation planting against dark walls or beside windows where you can enjoy the flowers at close range. Integrate into flowering shrub borders or use as an accent among perennials. Make it the focal point of a smaller city garden, where you can carefully control the shape for night lighting and visibility. Such large softly colored blossoms make a great study near patios, porches and other outdoor living spaces. Hardy to USDA zone 4 and all higher zones. Grown by Monrovia growers.
