Plant your blooming tree in a lawn, as a specimen plant to be enjoyed from a distance, or even as a hedge, taking advantage of its compact, slow growing shrubby habit. Magnolia "Susan" grows to only about 8 to 12 feet tall and wide, doing best if planted in well draining loamy soil.
