English Morello Cherry Tree, Five Gallon Container
The English Morello Cherry is medium, red, and tart. The fruit is excellent for pies. The tree is self fertile, and also a good pollinizer. Performs well in areas of less chill, needing only 400 hours. Ripens late season. The trees are shipped from this seasons bare root, and will arrive to you potted in soil to minimize transplant shock. Gives the tree a much better start this way.

I hear so much about chilling hours in selecting the proper fruit trees. Can you enlighten me?
If you live in an area that has mild winters, choose trees with low chill hours. This means that they will go dormant and then wake up at the proper time (your spring) and produce fruit as they should. If you choose trees with a high chilling requirement and your winters are temperate, then fruit production will be lessened.
Absolutely. English Morello is a pie cherry that will do much better in milder climates than the more well known Montmorency, so no excuse on not having fresh baked cherry pies come summer. Another is Earligrande peach, which is a variety that ripens late April to early May. Awesome!
