Brought to the states as an Italian 'immigrant' in 1875, this not new kid on the block is here to stay. Consider if you live in a border-line citrus growing region, as your Genoa will endure more cold weather than the Eureka, meaning less sleepless nights worrying about your new tree outdoors in the elements. If you are in a REALLY cold area, do plant the Santa Teresa Italian lemon for a more authentic taste, as your tree would be indoors in your living room before Christmas, so no worries here. Genoa trees are shrub-like, growing wide rather than tall, making for easy harvesting of the fruits. Shipped potted in soil for best possible results when planted in yard or garden.
