Dapple Dandy Pluot is a taste test winner, ranking with Flavor King and Flavor Supreme Pluot as best-flavored fruit at Dave Wilson Nursery (my grower) tastings. Dapple dandy fruit is a creamy white and red-fleshed freestone with wonderful plum-apricot flavor. Skin on this good tasting fruit is greenish-yellow with red spots, turning to a maroon and yellow dapple. You can begin harvesting your dapple dandy pluots in August in Central Calif. 400 to 500 winter chill hours needed. Flavor Supreme Pluot, Santa Rosa plum or Burgundy Plum are good pollinizers for the Dapple Dandy. Shipped potted in soil for best possible results when planted in yard or garden.
