Crimson seedless is a late season red table grape that ripens mid September, and weather permitting, can be held on the vine through mid November, extending the availability of fresh fruit into the late fall and early winter. The berries are large, similar in size and shape to Thompson seedless, but develop a bright red or crimson color by harvest. Crimson Seedless is great for fresh eating or adding to fresh fruit salads, with berry texture that is firm and crisp and flavor that is excellent. Crimson seedless can also be used to make raisins, which would be a good project for school age kids. Avoid too much nitrogen fertilizer, which has a tendency to encourage too much vine and leaf growth at the expense of fruit production. Hardy to about 10°’s. Shipped potted in soil to ensure a healthier start when planted in yard or garden. Plant height about 4 feet tall when shipped.
